UPDATE, Woody’s Roadhouse Closed!
Throwbacks Is Now Woodys Roadhouse
The new management group that is more than likely the same management group with some new investors is Turning it into more of a restaurant with some DJ entertainment. Woodys Roadhouse is planing on opening sometime at the end of April 2012. This is something you are seeing more of with bars turning into restaurants in the suburbs, we began focusing on our food a few years back and it is really paying off. If you haven’t tried one of our Build Your Own Burgers, Jersey Juicy Lucy’s or pot roast creations make sure you do!
It was last year when the Majors corporation sold all of its locations to its management and other investors. The Majors locations that changed were in Bloomington, now Poor Richards – Inver Grove Heights became B52 Burgers And Brew – Apple Valley (Closed Down) – Blaine changed to Wild Bills and Throwbacks actually stayed Throwbacks for a little over a year. I’m surprised they didn’t re brand then.
Some say Wild Bills In Woodbury is the main reason for Throwbacks to change its brand to Woodys Roadhouse, if that’s true or not, you’ll have to ask the management or owners. One thing I think is for curtain, They have some of the same concepts as Wild Bills with Dj’s and never a cover charge.
I have not heard if Woodys Roadhouse will continue having Live Music anymore. I hope they do considering they are so close to us here at Jerseys, we typically get the same styles of bands that Throwbacks did, it helps build the following of the bands in the area. If Woodys doesn’t continue to have Live Music, I guess were the only game in town that still has bands every weekend and we’re only 5 miles away, right across the Mississippi bridge. We’ll continue to have live country on Friday nights that include Tim Sigler, Hitchville, Maiden Dixie and many more great acts. On Saturday we do a variety of bands including Good For Gary, Uncle Chunk, Orange Whip, The Tracey Blake Project and even some national acts from time to time.
We also have our Karaoke shows on Sundays and DJ JennyLee on Thursday nights. Thursdays if your wearing a skirt your gonna drink free from 9-11. If your not, don’t worry we have 2-4-1 cocktails and discounted beers and apps.
